Crystal caves, it’s a man made cave in the main street of Atherton. It showcases a local man’s 50 year crystal and fossil collection. It was so amazing, the best collection I’ve ever seen!
The whole experience is great for kids too, they get a head lamp and you are allowed to touch everything which is a nice change for a museum!
We also chose to “crack open a Geode” to see the crystals inside with the big machine. There’s also a kids room with a sandpit to sift for gemstones, colouring-in and documentary videos playing…
It was worth the entry fee to the tunnel for us because we are very into crystals and fossils at the moment, and the shop itself is also wonderful to browse for free. Great morning out, couldn’t get the kids out of there!
