We went to the discovery centre to learn more about the area, history, and of course; dinosaurs. It was a really great layout, they had audio guides with a kids and adult version as you followed the boardwalk along. There were reptile & fish displays, a really cool 112 step viewing platform that overlooked the rainforest and indoor information centre.
The highlight was the Jurassic Forest, where big animatronic dinosaurs are scattered along a path. Towards the end of the walkways is a 500 year old strangler fig, we took time to lay underneath it and really take in how old that is!
A short drive from the park is the Jindalba Boardwalk where we met our first snake of the trip, a red belly black who slid between Keira and Harlan on the track, not aggressive but gave us a fright. The walk is nice and easy around some beautiful rainforest.
