There is a croc-free swimming hole right where the Bloomfield track starts called Emmagen Creek. There’s a dirt road to this area, but in good condition, not 4×4.
Once you park, go left up the creek and follow the track through the bush for 400m or so and you’ll come to a deep swimming hole. The fish didn’t bother us here (at Masons they were intense) and we swam for a few hours. Keira never wanted to leave, happy to watch everyone swinging into the water.
Say hi to the random chickens & roosters roaming the road as you head out, haha!
