On our way to Cairns we stopped in Kuranda (with the van). You can park your van on Thooree St, it’s a nice long road. We didn’t have any trouble driving the range in our 22ft van, just let people pass when you can and don’t rush the corners on the way down.
We checked out the playground, got an ice cream and visited the Crystal and Fossil museum, by donation. We have been here a few times so we skipped the Cableway, railway and butterflies this time.
