At 2,228 meters high, it’s Australias highest mountain, and we made it to the top! There was a bit of coaching & bribes to get the kids to the top but they did amazing! A few doubts creeped in but we were able to push through and make it!
The journey starts with a chairlift from Thredbo, then a 14km return walk to the top. There are boardwalks most of the way. We were lucky to see both snow and wildflowers at the same time, it was s beautiful walk that wasn’t too challenging for the adults. My parents joined us on the climb and did amazing!
We were prepared with all weather gear, plenty of food and water. A great achievement for us all.
