Paronella Park – QLD

Wow what a cool story behind this unique place. Built in the 1930’s this place has survived many floods and cyclones. It was THE place to party back in the day before cinema and TV. We did the day tour and night tour and they were both really cool.  You are free to explore the park at your own pace too, we were given fish food and loved feeding the turtles, eels and massive fish!

1 free nights camping is included in the ticket, a small camp ground is out the back for small campers or vans (max 19ft I reckon for turning space).

After the last ‘night tour’ for the night you can wander the park on your own in the dark, it was so great exploring this place at night, watching eels swim up the tiny water ways, and viewing waterfalls at night.

I am SO proud of the kids crossing the suspension bridge over the waterfall. Both of them wouldn’t cross a playground platform before this trip began, we have slowly overcome their fear of heights. We’ll be back to visit here again! Loved it, thank you for having us!
