Just north of Townsville, Rolling Stone is a beachfront caravan park. This area has such a pretty hinterland, we visited little crystal creek and Big crystal creek. At big crystal we had a BBQ lunch then swam in the clearest water hole we’ve ever seen. It was full of fish, turtles and eels. A school group from Townsville arrived and one of the guys caught a turtle with his hands and showed us, it was very cool to watch. We spent the day jumping into the water and swimming with the fish.
Back at the park we had some onshore winds but still enjoyed our beachfront site, watching the sun rise from the van was magic!
