Tangalooma – QLD

A quick trip away to start the school holidays 🙂 We had a villa right on the beach with a great view, bit noisy sharing walls with the neighbours though, only other thing was they don’t hire equipment to children under 6, so we couldn’t kayak or hire a tinny like we wanted to, but still a great spot close to home to visit.

We enjoyed the dolphin feeding and free talks around the island. We walked up to the shipwrecks to snorkle and it was packed with boats. We found the glass bottom boat tour great for our aged kids, it wasn’t safe for them to snorkle around all the boats.

So overall, beautiful island, close to home, but just a bit over crowded for us, long walks between locations and not being able to kayak because of young kids was a bummer. I’d stay in different accommodation next time with better soundproofing. And I’d like to see some sort of boat exlusion zone close to the wrecks to make it safer to swim.
