What a great display the town of Woomera has to its rocket/weapon testing history. Here you can view the outdoor displays and indoor museum for free. We really enjoyed wandering through the displays seeing how big some of these rockers are.
Woomera is a short 7km detour off the highway. It’s worth visiting as you head up the middle of Australia. There’s van parking within walking distance of the Rocket park.
